Feminism is a topic that divides people.

At one end of the spectrum, you’ve got hardcore conservatives who want to return to a bygone era where women were second-class citizens. On the other end, you’ve got radical feminists whose activism frequently bleeds into man-hating.

Most of us sit somewhere in between, yet many are still reluctant to mention the drawbacks of feminism. This is a shame, for it’s perfectly normal for progressive movements to have trade-offs.

And rather than ignoring the uncomfortable truth, we should acknowledge the negative side of the feminist movement and do our best to mitigate the damages.

Pornography has had a devastating impact on society. Women featured in pornographic films are often portrayed as masochistic individuals who enjoy pain or humiliation. This damages the psychology of men who consume the content, increasing the likelihood they will be violent towards their real-life partners.
