The Nazis are the most infamous political party in human history. Led by a furious dictator, they turned Germany into a fascist state, started the Second World War, and murdered six million Jews.

Due to the Nazis’ twisted legacy, many of us are familiar with names such as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, and Heinrich Himmler. But it wasn’t just the men who committed unthinkable acts of evil.

Though most people know very little about the female members of the Nazi Party, some of them were truly terrifying. Their crimes were brutal and sadistic, and reading about them isn’t for the fainthearted.

1. Dorothea Binz

Dorothea Binz was born in 1920 and grew up in a place called Försterei Dusterlake in northeast Germany. After spending time in the food industry, she worked in the kitchens at Ravensbrück, an all-female concentration camp to the north of Berlin.
