Over the last few years, Britain has experienced several royal scandals. Prince Andrew’s connection with the infamous Jeffrey Epstein is the worst of the lot, but the ongoing Harry and Meghan saga has also led to plenty of heated conversations amongst the British public.

But these events are just the latest in a long line of royal scandals. Sexual escapades, turbulent relationships, and political mishaps have always been a part of Britain’s royal history.

1. Prince Edward’s Affair With Harriet Mordaunt

Queen Victoria’s firstborn son liked to misbehave, and he spent much of his time visiting brothels and sleeping with beautiful women in various countries.

Edward’s behaviour didn’t change when he married Princess Alexandra of Denmark in 1863. Seven years into the marriage, his high libido led to a royal scandal centred around a love affair with Harriet Mordaunt, the wife of Sir Charles Mordaunt.
