I didn’t intend to mislead anyone, which is why I was confused about some of the negative feedback in the comments. I made inquiries, yet most people didn’t reply to my questions. Thankfully, Jody Alyn did reply and helped me understand what the issue was.

I have now, on balance, decided to update the title from “Four Uncomfortable Facts About Audrey Hepburn” to “Four Uncomfortable Facts About the Life of Audrey Hepburn”. I hope the updated title will stop the bulk of the criticisms.

You said I attempted to smear her, which simply isn’t true. The reason I wrote the article was because many of my previous “Uncomfortable Facts” articles had performed well and the feedback had been generally positive. This article was a continuation of the same theme.

The mistake I made was that the facts were about things that happened to her rather than things she had done herself. I understand this now and will keep this in mind when writing future “Uncomfortable Facts” articles.
