Pursuing our goals can be exhausting. We’re forced to confront failure again and again with no guarantee of success. In order to stay motivated, it’s vital to understand the journeys of successful individuals throughout our history.

Walt Disney has been a household name for decades. He was the genius behind some of the most iconic stories ever told, an artist who enriched our childhoods by creating an outstanding collection of animated classics.

But Walt’s path to success was anything but easy. His company struggled for years, and if it wasn’t for hard work and dedication, he wouldn’t have achieved his dreams.

Tough Beginnings

Walt started his professional career by working as a commercial artist for just $50 a month. After a series of unsuccessful business ventures, he started his own company with his brother Roy in 1923.

They had one goal: to make animated stories. All they had was a few thousand dollars (which they’d borrowed) and a second-hand camera. Walt was the creative mind for the company, and his brother was responsible for the finances.
